I’m sorry this page is so late. We just got back from Image Expo and I forgot to have this set to auto-load before we left. I can promise you that Thursday’s page will be on time.
A huge “Thank you” to Patrick McEvoy and Gretchen for showing us a wonderful time in SF and Jackie Lo for saying “hi” and bringing me lunch on Sat. To Diane, I’m sorry we missed you.

Wonderful news for this week!
Comics Alliance picked Utopiates for their Best Webcomics Ever for the Week of 2/12/22. Aaron Colter had the following to say…
“I’m not even going to offer commentary on this series; just read the introduction to the work, and if you’re not interested in reading the webcomic immediately, then you and I probably have vastly different tastes. Also, who are you? Why are you here? And why don’t you like awesome things?”
Thank you Aaron, for your comments and hi lighting our book.
And next, we got our table number for Image Expo! It’s 609, located in the second row by the refreshment stand and the street exit. (for a map, click here) Be sure to see us. We’ll have copies of our other book, Titanium Rain, copies of the very first issue of Utopiates, and news about our up-coming projects. So please stop by, we’ll be at the 01 Publishing table.
Sadly, the graphic novel won’t be done in time BUT that doesn’t mean we won’t have other cool stuff.

Yesterday we were honored to have Phil Hester of Wonder Woman and The Coffin come by and read Utopiates. This is what he had to say…
“Comics is a stormy, dangerous coastline, shallow and sharp, but UTOPIATES stands like a lighthouse guiding you to the safe harbor where smart, intense comics still exist.”
Thank you Phil Hester!

And I will start with this question, did everybody like it when I used to post what pages used to look like when this was a b/w book? If so, let me know and I’ll go back to doing that.
Thank you all.

Also, if any of you participated in the SOPA protests I want to say “Thank You”. It’s not completely dead yet, but they know now they can’t just pass this type of legislation and expect us to put up with it.
Ok, this is important. Next week Congress will be voting the SOPA and PIPA bills. If passed, these bill will allow entertainment companies the right to shut down any website they wish, without notice, and fine them for “use of copy written material”. This is wrong.
On Jan. 18th this website and others like Google and Wikipedia took part in a protest black out to show what the Internet would look like if SOPA/PIPA passed. As well, several senators websites were shut down due to server overload and NY/SF streets were flooded with protesters.
35 Senators have come out against these bills, but it’s not enough.
Josh and I will be calling our state representatives every day leading up to the vote to show them we are not in support of these bills and what they will do to us.
Please, contact your state representatives and tell them not to pass these bills. The video below has more information as well as links to website that tell you how you can help.
