I always wanted a music cue at the end of this page. That dramatic sound you would always get in mysteries when something was revealed. Similar to what Brak keeps doing in Tales of Suspense.
But anyway,
Ok, the last few pages we've posted I've taken some time out to promote the Kickstarter to my friend Mike Colber's book, Crazy Mary. Well I'm going to make one more push, and then I'll be done… at least till the last week.
Rick Remender, Bill Corbett (Crow T. Robot) of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Tony Lee of Doctor Who and adult film star Kelly Shibari all support this book. If you haven't seen it yet, please take a moment to read the 12pg. story "Trail of Tears" on the Crazy Mary website. If you like it, consider donating to Kickstarter. The first five fans of Utopiates that contribute $5 or more and come back here and leave message will get a sticker. The first two fans who contribute $20 or more will get a signed copy of the rare first issue of Utopiates along with the sticker. If ANY fan of Utopiates decides to pledge $50 or more to Crazy Mary, I will send you a signed copy of the upcoming Utopiates graphic novel along with a sticker. This all is MY own incentives. You will also receive all of the promised incentives on the Crazy Mary Kickstarter.
Also, becides Crazy Mary being created by a good friend of ours, Utopiates' very own Josh Finney co-wrote one of the stories that will be featured in the book.
So, If you decided to participate, please leave a comment below so we can applaud you publicly, then send me an email using the contact page.
As another Kickstarter shout out, Bill Corbett of MST 3K and Rifftrax has a Kickstarter of his own. I highly suggest you at least watch his video on it.
Ok, enough about other people, lets talk Utopiates!
As I mentioned before the graphic novel is well on it's way to being completed. Josh is putting the finishing touches on coloring issuing 4 and then it's off to the printer!
With that said, Josh and I will be at Anime Expo in June debuting the graphic novel for all to see! I hope you can come to the show if you are in the LA area. We will also have copies of our last series, Titanium Rain along with previews of our next comics venture, World War Kaiju.
As always, thank you all for reading and supporting Utopiates!

Hey Everybody!
The graphic novel of Utopiates will be coming out soon. Now I know that I have a link to Amazon.com on the left, and I still encourage you all to pre-order your copy, BUT Josh and I have been discussing a Kickstarter campaign specifically for pre-ordering the book through us directly. It will be signed, and we'll have awesome incentives like art prints and shot glasses if you pledge more. The pre-order would start at $20 for a signed copy of the book, (includes s+h). What do you guys think? Would you be interested in this?
Thank you all for your continued support. Please "like" us for your chance to win a free Utopiates sticker when we reach 100.
And check out Crazy Mary on the left for another awesome cyberpunk story.

Thank you to all the new people who have "liked" us in the past two weeks! Don't forget the 100 likes contest.
We've just made our hotel arrangements for Anime Expo in June to stay with Adam and Comfort of Rainbow in the Dark. This is going to be a very exciting show.
Also, if you haven't checked out Crazy Mary yet, please take a moment to do so. It was written by our friend Michael Colbert with artwork by JK Woodward, Ryan Sargent and William Blankmanship. Our very own Josh Finney co-wrote one of the stories too. Please take a moment to visit the website at CrazyMaryComic.com and read the first story "Trail of Tears".
Thank you all for your support of us.

Just a few reminders today. The "LIKE US" contest is still going on. After we hit 100 3 lucky fans will earn a Utopiates Sticker. And even though I said I wasn't going to, I'll throw in a copy of the rare printed version of "Moment of Clarity" that came out in 2006. Josh and I will even sign it for those three lucky winners. So get your friends to take a look at Utopiates and "like" us on facebook.
And please take a moment to visit the Crazy Mary Kickstarter Page, created by Mike Colbert, and consider contributing to the graphic novel. Artwork by JK Woodward.
Thank you.

Lots of shout outs to be made today!
First, my friend, Michael Colbert has launched his Kickstarter campaign to pay for the printing of his awesome cyberpunk book, Crazy Mary. Mary is mercenary. I hired bad-ass with a fetish for stun guns. She’s also sees things. Things other people can’t. And these things tell her stuff. Give her hints and clues as to what she is supposed to be doing. The question is, are they just in her head or is something large going on?
Crazy Mary features artwork by JK Woodward (X-Men, Fallen Angel), Ryan Sargent and William Blankmanship. Please go to the Kickstarter Page (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1164327580/crazy-mary-graphic-novel) and watch the video. I hope you will consider contributing to the book.
Next – If you are looking for more awesome distopian web comics then take a moment to check out Stark City Limits. http://starkcitylimits.com/ It’s a cleaner, friendlier Brazil. Give it a chance.
And last, thank you to all who have recently “liked” us on Facebook. We’re getting closer to our 100 likes goal so keep it up.
Mostly reminders today. The first being the Facebook contest. Once we hit 100 likes, three lucky fans will be picked to receive a free Utopiates sticker.
Second, don’t forget to pre-order your copy of the book.
And now, some pictures from Image Expo.
Josh, Kat, and Patrick McEvoy who we will be working with in a future project. *shhhhhhh*
A blurry picture of Patrick and Gretch. Two people who made this trip awesome. Patrick put us up for the weekend and showed us around SF. Gretch wined and dined us, then took us to this amazing Tiki Bar in Alameda.
Josh and Bryan Glass of Mice Templar at this awesome mexican resturant Patrick took us to in Alameda.
Ladder Hacker: A genetic engineer who operates on the black market. Also know as a Splicer.
I keep forgetting to mention that we’ve got a lexicon of terms up in the top navigation bar. I’ll try to remember more to include these definitions down here, but you can always look in the lexicon if need be.
IMAGE EXPO:
Only a week away so make sure you are there. We are in the Small Press section, table #609. We are exhibiting with 01 Publishing, not by ourselves. We’ll copies of the b/w Issue 1 of Utopiates along with our other projects (Titanium Rain, New Breed, LD30) for sale and a bunch of art prints as well. We’ll also be sitting with artist, Patrick McEvoy, who is best known for his work on Arkham Horror, Cthulhu, Game of Thrones, LOT5R, and Dungeon Magazine. Please stop by and say “hello”. The map to the side tells you where we are.
CONTEST TIME:
As of writing this post we have a little over 60 friends on Facebook (thank you all). I would dearly love to see that number be 100 by Feb. 29th. So, with that said, if we get 100 likes by the end of February a random, lucky fan will receive a free copy of the very first issue of Utopiates that was ever printed. SIGNED! Utopiates originally came out in b/w in 2006 and this is a rare copy of Moment of Clarity from that time. I will also include a free Utopiates Sticker.
If we do not reach our goal by the 29th, but we DO get 100 “likes” I will still send a random, lucky fan a free sticker.
So tell your friends!
