And thus ends A Moment of Clarity!
We are going to take a week break for Thanksgiving but please come back on November 29th when we will start the next tale entitled Tip of the Spear.
Also, I am very excited to announce that you can read Utopiates: A Moment of Clarity for free on your iPad, Droid, iPhone, or other digital reader using the Graphicly ap or visiting Graphicly.com . Look under 01 Publishing to find it.
Good news to longtime fans and new ones! Not only is the graphic novel of the first 4 issues of Utopiates (fully colorized) coming out next year, but we are going to continue with the series. Yep our plans for the next four issues after this will finally see the light of day and there are talks of other, side stories that may appear in other mediums.
I’ll keep you up to date!
Still looking for conventions to do next year, specificly in March and April. We’re on the waiting list at Emerald City. Anything else sound good out there? And show near you that you’d like us to visit? Let me know.
Audio Comics: There is now a write up about the Titanium Rain Audio Drama on the 01 Publishing website if you guys are interested. Complete with some pictures of the performance. Come check it out!
In other news, a huge “Congratulations” goes out to JK Woodward and his special day of tying the knot on 11/11/11. I’m so happy for you, man!
Just got back from Maine where we recorded the audio drama for Titanium Rain. Some talks about a possible audio drama for Utopiates in the future. No promises, but keep your eyes peeled for future news.
Another wonderful page where the coloring really brings out the setting. There really was just no way to convey the city lights in black and white.
This weekend sees us off to Maine to record the upcoming Titanium Rain audio drama with the Audio Comics Company. Both Josh and I are really excited about this project. Though, I must confess, being a native to California I have no tolerance for weather under 65 degrees. I’m a total wimp when it comes to cold and the weather reports don’t put Maine anywhere above 55. Laugh at me if you want. I totally understand. All my friends on the east coast do.
I hope everybody had an excellent Halloween.
Thank you to those who have been there for us during this difficult time. And to all those reading this comic for being patient when I've been a few hours late getting it up.
Halloween is just around the corner, so tell me what you are dressing as for this year. I'm curious what our readers are doing and who they are going as (or vise versa :evil grin:) I'm going to a friend's birthday party as Chell from the Portal series. I don't have a gun but I do have a companion cube, so that works.
Remember, I'm looking for cool conventions to exhibit at next year, mainly on the west coast but we're not opposed to travel if it's a good con. So please, drop me a line.
As of the writing of this post we are only 5 "likes" away from a facebook.com url. So please, if you haven't already, please hit the like button towards to the top of this page with all the faces on it and add yours there. We would appreciate it and we like seeing our fans. If you are a fan of ours from back in the b/w days, tell us how you found our book. And remember to put your pre-order in with Amazon.com for the 112pg. graphic novel, which is due out in March. Just click on the link to the left. You won't be billed till the book ships, but every preorder counts.
Hey everybody, do you know of a good convention to go to in 2012? Preferably west of the Rocky Mountains? We’re preparing our convention tour for next year since the graphic novel is coming out in March and would like to know what shows are good. So far we’re going to Anime Expo in Los Angeles in June.
The shows we are looking at are ConDor in San Diego, and we’re on the waiting list for Emerald City in Seattle. So give us a tip if you know of a good one.
Not much commentary today… we recently had a death in the family. You can read Josh's journal entry for details. The next page will be up on time next week though. Please let me know if you have any questions about art technique, the story, or anything you'd like me to cover in the next post.
